Meet Tayler! She's dedicated to her family and loves living in the Okanagan!

Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
I was born in Calgary, AB but moved here when I was younger.. graduated from highschool and went back home for family! Then met the love of my life and my two beautiful step children and decided to buy some land in Oyama, BC

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
Tough question... I would have to say my step children.. childlike wonder baby! They teach me everyday how to get back to the basics and I think we forget that as we get older.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Mad Mango - The service is above and beyond and always done with smiles

Describe yourself in one word.
Happy.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Telluride Colorado - I love the mountains and its just a place I have always wanted to visit.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
The market!

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Once when I was working at a dealership I was singing to a song and just like in the movies I thought I put the switchboard on "Hold" I didn't … it was on the intercom … so riddle me that one...oops!

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
My Mother. Watching someone so passionate about running... they used to call her the "Gazelle" of the running room here in Kelowna, BC. Until she was diagnosed with MS. To watch someone's passion be taken away and still see that person smiling everyday - No hate.. no fear and no madness... that's inspiration... real inspiration.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Honestly when my cousin fell down the stairs - I know - All I can do is be honest.. she wasn't hurt but it was a good laugh.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I work for Care Dental in Kelowna, BC - We work closely with Mamas for Mamas to put on our CareKids Program. Once per month, we sponsor a child's dental treatment and take care of it with cost. Call Kim at Mamas for more details.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Climate

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
The mountains of course!

Where would you like to see a positive change in Kelowna and why?
One of my core values is kindness I can get behind any positive change that at its heart is kind

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
Kelowna is incredible! Kelowna provides a wonderful juxtaposition between both urban and rural that is beautiful and exciting! An AM at the beach, with an afternoon at the winery, and dinner at one of the town's award winning bistros! Love it!

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Heli ride around Revy
2.Adopt a dog
3.Volunteer at Allan Brooks Nature Centre

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I was born with my two front teeth

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
I personally do not have any form of social media. But Care Dental does have a Instagram page and we get a lot of feed back and are able to connect with the community through there :)

What is the name of your business/organization?
Care Dental

Why did you get into this business?
I have always wanted to be in dentistry but something about Care was a little different... between the Care Kids Program... all our preferred partnerships and are yoga nights to reconnect our team! How could I have said no to helping grow this amazing practice? I may be bias but I love my job!

What is the goal of your business?
Our goal at Care Dental is to give back to the community and partner with other businesses such as Mamas for Mamas

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Losing my friend to lung cancer. Trying to find acceptance and peace with that is a major struggle.

If you could start all over again, would you do things the same or would things be different?
ooo… I probably wouldn't change a thing. Life is beautiful even if it unfolds a little differently then you hope.

What do you always find yourself saying?
Its a bad day not a bad life

Tell us your best peice of life advice.
Ride the wave - there is always a plan much MUCH greater then yours.. just ride it out.

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Dax Shepard

To give back! Were all in this together, lets move through it together.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
