What is the best part of operating in Kelowna?

I was born in Kelowna and I love it here. The people are the best part. I have met so many people through my work and they have been so supportive, helpful and motivating. Everyday I look forward to seeing my clients and meeting new people.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?

It was a tough decision to leave the comfort of being an employee in a salon, so to challenge myself with starting my own business and taking the risk has been a very rewarding feeling.

If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?

As long as they could play "I spy with my little eye" and keep themselves relaxed and in a good mood I would be content.

What other businesses/organizations in Kelowna would you recommend to others?

I know so many businesses and people who give great quality service.

What is your favourite event in Kelowna?

Kelowna Wine and Dine. I love trying new food and restaurants.

If I could change 1 thing about Kelowna, it would be:

So many people are having to go out of town for work and they have to leave their families for extended amounts of time and it's too bad that they can't find that kind of work at home so that they can be here with family and enjoying the Okanagan.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?

I am definitley a summer girl and I love how active it is here in the summer. People are out golfing, boating, wine touring and sitting on patios in the sun. In the winter you can go up to the ski hill, and we have a great hockey league for both kids and adults. I love that I get to play hockey all year round at the Capital New Centre.

You can find Tomahawk Hair Design in Downtown Kelowna located on 2575 Richter Street, B1Y2R1.
