Angela Zissoff is a strong believer in the power of Taekwon-do. It is not just for self defence but also for fitness, confidence and discipline. She has been practising and teaching for many years and now she passes along those lessons through Loyalist Taekwon-do.  A jack of many trades, she also runs an online jewelry store and is a thrivng woman entrepreneur. Today Angela is In Focus.

What do you always find yourself saying? Chunbi (Joon-Bee! - means "ready" in Korean)

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select? My mother

 

If you were to receive any existing public award, what award would you like to win? Anything that comes with a cheque.


If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would you choose? Dali

What are 3 things on your bucket list? Build another house, play the guitar half decent, live long enough to collect Canada Pension Plan
 


If you had an enormous yacht, what would you name it? Yacht?..Knot!
 


What are you passionate about? Teaching Taekwon-do, Glass Art, Music and Chocolate.......especially chocolate!
 


What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point? Meeting Queen Elizabeth II

 

What has been your proudest accomplishment?

Creating the Diamond Jubilee Stained Glass Window in the Senate, 2012.

If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be? To train champions in taekwon-do
 


Where do you want your business to be in 5 years? Have my own private dojang.

What 3 qualities do you feel that your business exemplifies?
Stay true to yourself, never give up, always strive to improve
 


How does your organization impact the community? We help anyone in the community that is interested in learning self defence and becoming more confident and fit. This is attainable at very affordable rates.

 

If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
The experts/investors would be in the education field and I would promote martial arts within schools as a standard course...There is so much more to gain than just protecting oneself...
 


If I could change 1 thing about Kelowna, it would be: Re-route the main highway...or try to remedy traffic congestion.

 

What do you think makes Kelowna great? The weather (most of the time)
