1. Stolen toe returned to Dawson City bar

The famous Dawson City “sour toe” has been returned to its rightful owner. The mummified human toe is the one used in the “sourtoe cocktail” made at the city’s Downtown Hotel. The toe, which was reported stolen on Tuesday, was returned via mail with an apology note inside.


2. The first round of the NHL entry draft is tonight

Tonight, 30 teenagers will have their dreams fulfilled when they hear their name called as first round selections in the 2017 NHL entry draft. The draft starts at 4 p.m. and will only be one round tonight. The rest of the rounds will happen on Saturday.


3. Lady Gaga hikes in an interesting outfit

Lady Gaga is a fashion icon of sorts and it certainly showed on her Thursday afternoon hike. Along with her boyfriend, Gaga strolled through some New York hiking trails in heels, a crop top and a form-fitting skirt.


4. French blogger killed by exploding whipped cream canister

A sad, strange story surfaced on Thursday regarding a popular French fitness blogger. Rebecca Burger was killed by an exploding whipped cream can after the device hit her chest and triggered a heart attack. The canister was recalled from the market back in 2013.


5. The NBA draft is complete

The NHL draft is on Friday night, but the NBA draft already happened on Thursday night. Markelle Fultz was taken first overall by the Philadelphia 76ers before the Los Angeles Lakers selected Lonzo Ball with the second overall pick. Lonzo’s dad, Lavar, then gave another one of his classic interviews following the pick.
