If you needed a reminder to be cautious around wildlife, this video is all you need to watch.

A video uploaded to Youtube by Michael Fujiwara on Saturday shows the moment a sea lion sprung into action and dragged a young girl into the water at the Steveston Fisherman’s Wharf in Richmond, B.C.

The girl is shown being dragged underwater by the sea lion at the 1.38 minute mark of the video.

As soon as the incident occurs, a man instantly jumps into the water to rescue her.

According to the video description, the man who jumped in to save her was either a family member or a bystander.

Following the incident, the girl is shown walking away appearing to be uninjured and safe.

The video description states that no one was injured during the incident.

Since being uploaded on Saturday, the video has received more than 625,000 views.

The video serves as an important reminder that cute doesn’t equate to safe. Indeed, as adorable as sea lions may be, they are still wild animals with the ability to cause harm.

Quick action by the man likely saved the girl from serious harm.
