Usually when a cop shows up to your party it’s bad news. However, for a group of Canadian musicians, a cop showing up to their private gig made for an unforgettable night.

According to Vinyl Ambush, a band based in Ontario, they were playing music at a private event on Saturday before the Peel Regional Police showed up. However, contrary to thinking the cops would shut their event down, one of the officers decided to show off his drumming skills.

“We thought the show was over but much to everyone's delight, they [the police] joined in for an incredible jam session,” reads the caption under the video from Vinyl Ambush. “They were so impressed by the band [that] instead of putting a stop to the show, they wanted to join in then offered the band words of wisdom. Talk about community outreach. Many thanks to Peel Region Police for making it.”

The video shows the cop jamming it out on the drums before later sharing advice with the musicians.

Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time Canadian cops have opted to join in on the festivities and show off their musical talent…

Evidently, not all cops are intent on ruining the party. Indeed, many enjoy rocking out just like everybody else.
