The highly anticipated solar eclipse came and went on Monday morning with millions of eyes across North America tuning in.

In Kelowna, the peak of the eclipse was 10:25 a.m. and while it didn't get dark like it did in Oregon, it got noticeably dimmer for a handful of minutes.

At KelownaNow, we were parked out on our roof taking high-quality photos that you can see below, but we weren't the only ones capturing the rare phenomenon.

Here are some of our photos (see the full album here) and a few more from people capturing the eclipse from all over the Okanagan.

We'll keep adding to the story as more photos are posted to social media and sent into news@kelownanow.com, and we'll have another story with some of the best photos from across North America this afternoon!
