Los Dorados, Canada's premiere 12-piece mariachi ensemble, is coming to Kelowna Community Theatre on September 13.

Established in Vancouver in 2003, the group has played at festivals and events across Western Canada, the US, and Mexico. They performed at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, the 2011 and 2012 Calgary Stampedes, and numerous Guadalajara International Mariachi Festivals. They've also shared the stage with Mexico's some of top mariachi groups: Big Sugar, Mariachi Vargas and Mariachi Los Camperos.

Mexican Fiesta Productions is hosting Los Dorados at the Kelowna Community Theatre for a night of Salsa and Latin dancing, “Discada” tacos, a Mexican “Tienda”, Mexican dessert cake, and prizes to share their passion for Mexican culture. “There is something very mystical about mariachi music,” says band leader, Alex Alegria. “It always tells a story, with its great mixture of culture, history, romance and elegance. It’s a musical style that brings people together, no matter who they are.”
