Mai Duong is a 34 year old mother who is battling acute leukemia and needs a Vietnamese stem cell donor to save her life. Duong has been unsuccessful in finding a donor in Quebec and now she is hoping someone in the province will come forward to help. Looking towards the lower mainland’s Asian population Duong is hoping someone will be a match for donation.

The mother of four year old daughter Alice was diagnosed in January 2013 and went into remission seven months later. She has unfortunately relapsed and is currently in hospital and undergoing chemotherapy treatments as she waits for a donor.

Anyone aged 18 to 35 can get swabbed and see if they are a match for Duong or another sick person. A website and Facebook page has been set up with information about donating and testing.
