The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit BC (CFSEU) has busted three active gang members and seized close to $400,000 in drugs.
In early July CFSEU-BC launched an investigation into alleged drug trafficking by members of the 856 gang in Langley. On the afternoon of July 22nd investigators arrested on man outside an apartment building on 236th Street in Langley, and a search of the man resulted in officers finding a significant amount of both cocaine and meth.

While officers were on scene two other suspects arrived in a vehicle, one was arrested while the other fled on foot but was caught several hours later with the help of the K9 unit and RCMP Air One. The next day members of the Langley RCMP, and CFSEU-BC executed a search warrant on an apartment in the same location of the previous arrests. There officers found a large quantity of drugs as well as a 20 ton press used to make bricks of cocaine.

In addition to $5,464 cash and the 20-ton press, the total amount of drugs seized, including the estimated wholesale prices in parentheses, is:
- Cocaine: 2.514 kg ($150,000)
- Methamphetamine: 3.846 kg ($100,000)
- Heroin: 522 g ($55,000)
- Oxycontin: 123 tablets/pills ($3,700)
- Cocaine cutting agent/buff: 44.062 kg ($80,000)
The three men arrested are aged 23, 25 and 47 are believed to be high ranking members of the 856 gang and have charges pending.

Named for the phone prefix in the Aldergrove area, the “856” gang is a violent criminal group made up of members and associates living and operating in the Lower Mainland and as far away as Fort St John, the Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Alberta, and even Ontario. They have been in existence for close to a decade and have been featured in local and other media for their involvement in assaults, drugs, weapon-related, property-related, and other types of crimes.
