The man accused of killing four women has been convicted and is now Canada’s youngest serial killer.
Cody Legebokoff was found guilty of first degree murder on Thursday and was convicted in the deaths of 35 year old Jill Stuchenko, 35 year old Cynthia Maas, 23 year old Natasha Montgomery and 15 year old Loren Leslie. Legebokoff was just 19 when he committed his first murder in Prince George in 2009.
A jury found the 24 year old of Fort St. James guilty of after nearly a day of deliberations. More than 90 witnesses testified during the trial. Legebokoff recently tried to plead guilty to a lesser charge of second degree murder but the Crown rejected that plea.
Doug Leslie, Loren’s father, has been very vocal about the murder on Facebook and called the verdict bitter sweet as his daughter now has justice.
