On August 11th the Integrated Municipal Provincial Auto Crime Team (IMPACT) along with the Surrey Auto Crime Targeting Team followed a lead about a stolen Nissan pickup truck in the Guildford area. Both teams followed the 34 year old female driver into a driveway of a home and arrested her without incident.

While at the home police officers noticed several other vehicles on both the property and the street. Officers determined that five of the vehicles including a motorhome and a 2005 Jaguar were stolen. A warrant was obtained and executed two days later and a search of a double garage resulted in police finding thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen property.

Inspector Peter Jadis, Officer in Charge of IMPACT says that “this investigation started out as a seizure of one stolen vehicle, which eventually led to the significant recovery of some very expensive items. Many people were negatively affected by this crime. IMPACT’s ultimate goal is to continue to reduce auto crime in BC and help people protect themselves from auto related thefts.”

Items recovered included MIG welders, power tools, car parts and rims, high end bicycles, audio equipment and a boat motor. Charges are pending against the woman as well as other individuals who were at the property.

Surrey RCMP are now releasing photos of the items seized with the hopes of reuniting some of the higher priced items with their owners. If you believe any of the items in the photos belong to you, please contact Cst. Daymon Skelton at 778-290-3689. Please be prepared to provide some proof of ownership in order for the item(s) to be released.
