Keep your eyes peeled—one of Kelowna's favourite brunch places is going to be featured on the Food Network's “You Gotta Eat Here”.

The Jammery, home to all-you-can-eat waffles, scrumptious jams, and delicious eggs Benedict, is going to be featured on the hit show with John Catucci. According to the owner, Bill Morrison, one of the producers had eaten there and the TV show called him in the beginning of June asking if they could feature the restaurant.

Filming starts Wednesday in the kitchens, and the restaurant will be closed that day. On Thursday, however, The Jammery will be fully open with film crews speaking to customers. According to their Facebook page, loyal customers can email and say why they should be chosen to be interviewed by John Catucci.

“You Gotta Eat Here” will show the restaurant staff making three dishes: Breakfast Paella, Bacon Cheeseburger Benny, and All You Can Eat Waffles. The Breakfast Paella is a seafood dish with real lobster, crab, scallops, and shrimp with tarragon lemon butter and hashbrowns. The Jammery serves it with two poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, paprika, and green onion.

Meanwhile, their Bacon Cheeseburger Benny is eggs Benedict with a twist: four pieces of bacon and two all-beef sliders are added to the poached eggs and English muffin, and the hollandaise sauce is topped with cheddar cheese.

Finally, the All You Can Eat Waffles is one of their most popular dishes, and it's just how it sounds. You can order as many Belgian waffles as you'd like with the choice of different berry sauces until you have to roll yourself out of the door.

Morrison says that being on the show, which is shown in 50 countries around the world, is going to be great for the restaurant. “It will get our exposure out there far and wide. It is nice to be recognized for the hard work and the creativity we put into our food.”

Two other local restaurants, Burger 55 in Penticton and Kekuli Cafe in West Kelowna, have been featured on the show, and both of them had large increases in customers after the segments aired.

No word yet on when the segment will actually be on TV, but in the meantime, you're welcome to take a quick trip out for some delicious food.
