An Ontario man who's been missing since 1977 has been found in the United States.

Ronald Stan disappeared at the age of 32 on September 29, 1977 after an early morning barn fire in East Williams, Middlesex County. In 1986, nine years after his disappearance, he was declared deceased by courts.

This July, however, investigation re-opened on his case by the Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit as part of a routine audit. It was found that Ronald Stan was alive under the name of 69-year-old Jeff Walton in the United States.

Both his family and American families have been notified, and investigation into Stan's disappearance is now closed.
