Strathcona County RCMP went to investigate a possible body hanging from a power line, only to find it was a prank.
The RCMP quickly arrived at the scene Friday to find that the “body” was actually a mannequin. With help from the Strathcona County Emergency Services, RCMP brought the mannequin down. It was dressed in red Proban coveralls, work gloves with “Matt” written, a back balaclava, a “33” on the sleeve, a large “c” on the front chest, and an unidentified symbol on the back.
Cpl Darren Anderson called the event “concerning”, saying, “Any time you are dealing with power lines there is a potential for danger, not only to our responders, but to whoever was responsible for putting the mannequin there in the first place.”
