74-Year-Old Woman Stabs Teen in Nova Scotia

A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the eye Saturday afternoon in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

The Halifax Regional Police responded to Earleton Avenue in Dartmouth at approximately 1:30 p.m. about a weapons call. When they arrived, they found that a 74-year-old woman had stabbed the 15-year-old in the eye. The young male was taken to the IWK Health Centre, and the woman was arrested without incident.

Police later released the 74-year-old woman from custody with a promise to appear in court at a later date and an undertaking with conditions. She's been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
