We visited Stuart Park today for a little walking tour and took some pictures we would like to share. You can also visit Stuart Park in our business directory here. You will find more pics and a video there as well.

Information for the park as sourced from the City of Kelowna.

Fronting on 300 metres of prime waterfront in downtown Kelowna, Stuart Park promises to attract locals and visitors alike. The new park is designed to showcase quality urban waterfront park development, create a focal point for the City’s civic and Cultural District and provide environmental and fisheries benefits for the site.

Part of the Waterfront Parks Plan, Stuart Park provides a portion of the plan's goal to provide continuous public access to Kelowna's beautiful shoreline.

The park features adhere to nature-inspired concept plan and include:

Outdoor ice rink (call 250 469-8800, opt 4 for schedule updates)

Phase one of Stuart Park was constructed August 2009 to June 2010. The $3.5 million project officially opened September 3, 2010. The parkland (located on Water Street, across the street from City Hall, between Queensway Avenue and the Kelowna Yacht Club building) was named after former City of Kelowna Mayor James (Jim) Stuart in recognition of his dedication to the community and his 31 years of service.
