They’re back! The square watermelons are in Urban Fare stores in BC including here in Kelowna.
The unusual watermelons got their start in Japan and have become a novelty here in BC as Urban Fare Stores has brought them to local shelves for the past few years. A limited number of square watermelons are available at the Kelowna location, on Lakeshore Drive, and according to store employees the melons are currently available for purchase.
The watermelons are on display near the front entrance of the Kelowna store and will cost you a whopping $200. But it’s a small price to pay if you are looking to impress your friends with a unique and delicious treat.
