An Instragram account has been getting a lot of attention these days as it only posts photos of enormous tips left for restaurant staff in the United States.
The account Tips for Jesus recently posted a photo from a restaurant in New Orleans where someone left a $10,000 tip at Galatoire’s Restaurant. The photo is just the latest in a long list of generous tippers who give enormous amounts. So far this latest $10,000 tip is the biggest given to restaurant staff, at least shown on the Instagram account, but others are just as generous.
Several of the tips also include the words “Tips for Jesus” and “Boom” which seem to be a common theme among posted photos.
It seems many of the large tips are a sort of "pay it forward" type thing that gives back to the hospitality community who often work hard for low wages.
