A funny story out of Newfoundland has landed one wanted criminal in jail and police on news media sites around the country.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) posted their usual #WantedWednesday on their Facebook page, but didn’t expect the criminal to reply. This week’s wanted man was Rodney Constantine. Well Constantine saw the posting and decided to reply to it by saying “See you Monday morning!!”

The back and forth went on from there between Constantine and police as they replied “We’re open 24/7/365.” And guess what? Monday morning Constantine made good on his promise to turn himself in on the outstanding arrest warrants.
“Thank you for sharing. We hope that we can see more success with apprehending wanted individuals using Facebook and Twitter,” said police on Facebook. But the story doesn’t end there. The RNC then went to Twitter to make sure that people didn’t leave inappropriate comments regarding any wanted criminal, specifically Constantine. And they reserve the right to hide any inappropriate comments on social media, which popped up following Constantine's comment.
It’s just another strange day in the world of Social Media and Facebook.
