A chocolatey treat could not only taste delicious, but also help women to alleviate cravings without guilt.

PMS Bites are the brainchild of Tania Green, a former marketer who launched a business that specializes in promoting a healthier lifestyle for women experiencing PMS. The Bites are just 60 calories each and come in three tasty flavours.

“I began to search for solutions that would turn my PMS days from bad to good. Exercise, more sleep, healthy eating. It all mattered. But like 80 percent of women, cravings hit me—hard,” said Green. “I needed something to curb my cravings without breaking the scale or feeling the guilt. I began to craft healthy, bite-sized, chocolate desserts specifically for my PMS week.”

The Bites contain herbs that are known to help reduce PMS symptoms such as bloating and cramping. They are also organic, gluten-free, vegan, and have no added sugar. The chocolatey and rich bite is the perfect hybrid between a classic chocolate truffle and brownie batter and is finished with premium, fair-trade cocoa powder and coconut palm sugar. The PMS Bites began life on Kickstarter in February and the goal was to raise $5,000 to start the business.

In less than 15 hours Green reached her goal, and it ended up reaching 169 per cent with an over funding goal of $8,439. Now the guilt-free treats are available in three flavours; plain crazy, coco-nutty, and all kinds of nuts. Every bite contains dandelion root, Siberian ginseng, and chamomile.

The Bites are affordable at a cost of $20 for a six pack, including shipping, and you can even register for a monthly subscription so you get your treat on schedule. Unfortunately the Bites are only available in the United States at this time, but if you have a post box that you use across the border, you could order them that way.
