It’s the iPhone apocalypse!

Turns out there’s a nasty bug circulating that can shut down your iPhone with a simple text message.

Simply sending the following message will apparently restart your iPhone: effective. Power لُلُصّبُلُلصّبُررً ॣ ॣh ॣ ॣ 冗

Needless to say, iPhone users are having a field day with this little glitch.

According to a Reddit post, the glitch is due to the iPhone’s inability to recognize the non-Western characters, consequentially causing it to reboot.

Luckily, some smart folks have already thought of a quick solution.

Apparently if you access your settings and change your notification distribution method, it will prevent your phone from crashing.

“Keep your notifications so you don’t miss messages, but you can’t read them until you enter the messages app,” read a Reddit post.

There are tons of quick fixes available on Reddit and other social media outlets, but Apple has yet to fix the problem from the ground up. As a result, iPhone users everywhere are praying for their phones while anxiously awaiting a cure.
