A German Bar Association has come forward and admitted that they are behind a viral video that shows a scorned lover cutting all of his stuff in half and giving it to an ex.
Deutsche Anwaltauskunft has issued a statement saying they were the ones who posted the video on YouTube called “Laura”. The organization says the story made headlines all over the world, from Samoa, to Pakistan, from China to Canada. The video garnered more than 4.5 million views and various auctions on eBay actually had bids. The idea behind the video was to highlight a problem that faces many couples going through a divorce.

“Too few married couples take precautions for the case of a possible separation,” said the company in a statement. “A divorce often ends in bitter fights under which not only cars and furniture suffer, but couples and children.”
Swen Walentowski, press spokesman of German Bar Association said "We are very pleased and would have never expected did our message could reach millions of people worldwide in search a short period of time. All of the items available online will be auctioned off as planned with any money received given to local charities. The German Bar Association has apologized to anyone who felt teased by the video and photos, and hopes it provided some entertainment.
