5 epic rentals for the ultimate staycation

Don't have enough money to go on some big, epic vacation? Why not try an amazing staycation right here in your own backyard. All you need is a bunch of friends and around $500 each for a three night "live like a king" experience in Kelowna. 

Below is a list of properties that we found in the Kelowna area that fit around the $500 per person for the three-night experience.

Casa Hill 

Located within a gated community, this private luxury estate has 7,600 sq. ft. of spectacular views, six bedrooms, a swim-up bar, a theatre room and a built-in stereo system that runs throughout the house. Sit back on one of five lanais, enjoy a steam shower in the master bathroom, read a book in the library, or host a gourmet meal in the chef's dream kitchen. The infinity edge pool (heated) also has a secured kids wading area, which is covered from the sun. Bring your iPod and connect to the amazing built-in stereo system throughout the house.

The Holiday Guest House 

You name it, the Holiday Guest House has it. From seven large bedrooms and an inclusive rooftop master suite with a hot tub, to two swimming pools, a water trampoline, and a private theatre, this staycation spot has it all.

Ideal for weddings, parties and corporate retreats, The Holiday Guest House is perfect for groups looking to relax and have some fun. The resort has two pools, three hot tubs, water trampolines, nearby trails and a marina. The theatre room, with a 10x20 ft. screen and surround sound, was made for epic viewing parties.

Price: Under $50 per person, per night

Luxury Waterfront Home at Quails' Gate Estate Winery 

This luxurious lakeshore home offers multiple patios with stunning views overlooking Okanagan Lake, an array of large spacious gardens, two mechanized boat launches, a hot tub and a BBQ. 

Nestled at the bottom of the famous Quails’ Gate vineyards in West Kelowna, you have access to the very best in wining, dining and all aspects of a vacation getaway at your doorstep. Located nearby fabulous golf courses, trails and the Okanagan Lake, this getaway offers the most luxurious staycation.

Minimum stay: 2 nights - Sleeps: 10

Price: About $100 per person, per night

You will need to bring your own boat.

 

Crescendo at Big White

At about 5200 square feet, Crescendo is Big White’s largest single-family home offered as a rental accommodation. Aside from offering enough space for guests to get lost, this state of the art fortress is configured so that it may offer up to six bedrooms and comfortably sleep 15 people. As well, Crescendo exhibits a media room with a movie screen is 110” movie screen, two unique fitness systems, a swim gym, and sixteen amplified zones that allow you to play music throughout the entire house.  

Minimum stay: 2 nights - sleeps: 22

Price: About $150 per person, per night 

The Legacy Waterways Houseboat

This houseboat could be the most impressive houseboat in the Waterway fleet as well as the most luxurious vessel on the Shuswap lake. Measuring 94 feet long and boasting 14 foot long ceilings, the Legacy includes an enlarged hot tub and a 42 inch plasma TV and a chandelier. As well, the 3 storey, 24 foot wide houseboat features 6 staterooms and 4 bonus bedrooms.

minimum stay: 3 day weekend - sleeps: 30 (3 day weekend is 2 nights and 3 days)

Price: About $130 per person, per day, (not night), if you go off peak it can be as cheap as $78 per per, per day (not night) for the big boat. ( Boat rentals  as we have are for 3 days and 2 nights) They do have a midweek 4 day (3 nights) package too.
