It’s Mother’s Day today and, as per tradition, members of the KelownaNow team want to give a shoutout to the moms that helped us make it through life thus far.
To the ladies who changed our diapers as babies, chased us around as toddlers, guided us through high school and still managed to love us as teens and now continue to cheer us on in adulthood — we love you and thank you for everything!

I’ve definitely been referred to as a momma’s boy, and it’s hard to shake that title when you fit it.
I love my mom because she’s always looking out for her kids and she’s two steps ahead on everything — I thought getting housing supplies for 17th my birthday was lame until I left to University to realize how expensive housing supplies are.
She’s definitely got that mother’s intuition, and even while she continues to push me to learn and grow and will be the first to tell me she’s proud of my accomplishments, she’s also there to humble me and remind me that I’ve never been as cool as I think I am. Love you, Mom!

My mom has always taught me to go after what I want in life, stay true to myself, be kind to everyone I meet and to talk less and listen more.
She is strong, compassionate, giving and always willing to lend a hand to someone who needs it. She is wickedly smart, devilishly funny and beautiful both inside and out.
