The BC Coroners Service has identified the three people killed in a horrific crash along Highway 97 on July 15th that shut the highway down for several hours.
Harold Reinhardt Miller, aged 82, from Vernon; his wife Violet Juline Miller, aged 79; and their great-grandson, Thomas Rhys Edward Davies, aged 14, from Victoria were killed in a three vehicle collision opposite Duck Lake.
Harold Miller was the driver of a northbound Malibu that crossed the highway and collided head on with a Kia around 4:40 p.m. at the intersection of Parkinson Drive and Duck Lake.

Davies was a passenger in the front seat while Violet Miller was in the rear seat at the time of the collision. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Millers, who had been married for 61 years leave behind four children, 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26th at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Vernon.
