RCMP is searching for the remains of a Coldstream man who reportedly jumped into Revelstoke Lake and never resurfaced.

On July 30th at around 7:30 p.m. RCMP and the BC Ambulance Service responded to a report of a missing swimmer. The bridge in that area is estimated to be about 80 feet above the water which is 50 feet deep.

Crews searched for the missing man until 9:45 p.m. and were forced to call off efforts because of darkness. The search will Thursday morning by emergency personnel. The man’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
