Starting Monday, September 15, the Lakeview Water System's water mains will be flushed by the District of West Kelowna.

Residents from Lakeview Heights, Rose Valley Estates, and Shannon Lake will be affected. The flushing will occur between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and is expected to take approximately a month. While residents will still have water, they may notice reduced water pressure. The District of West Kelowna asks that during these times, customers of the Lakeview Water System refrain from using appliances that use large amounts of waters, such as laundry machines and dishwashers.

The flushing is intended to reduce the amount of sediment in water lines. If residents notice increased sediment in their water, they are asked to run cold water to help clear it.
