Beginning Monday, September 15th the District of West Kelowna will begin flushing of its water mains as the lines are cleaned out.

The flushing of the Lakeview Water System is expected to take approximately a month to complete and is being conducted to reduce the amount of sediment in the water.

Flushing will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. The District says water service will not be interrupted, but residents may notice a reduction in water pressure during this time.

People are asked to avoid using appliances that require a large amount of water, such as laundry and dishwashers during this time. If anyone finds increased sediment in their water they are asked to run the cold water tap to help clear the sediment.
