Trial Set for Kelowna Man Accused of Murdering his Fiancee

The man accused of killing his fiancée will face a judge and jury but it won’t be for some time.

Ryan James Quigley is accused of murdering Aimee Jane Parkes and has been in police custody since April 4th, 2014. Quigley will begin his month long trial on May 25th, 2015 and a voir dire will be held on April 20th, 2015.

Parkes, 35, was found dead in her home at Hiawatha Mobile Home Park on April 1st, 2014 with RCMP immediately deeming the death suspicious.

Quigley was named a person of interest shortly after and two days later he was taken into custody after police found him and his vehicle in the 500 block of Coronation Avenue. The pair was set to be married over the summer after getting engaged in April of 2013. The cause of her death has not been released.
