The BC Coroners Service has released the identity of the man killed in a motor vehicle incident in Penticton on September 13th, 2014.

Kevin Michael Vezina, a 41 year old Penticton resident, was killed when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a pickup truck at an intersection. The accident took place around 3:30 p.m. at Industrial Avenue East and Vezina was rushed to the Penticton Regional Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries later that same day.

Vezina was known to police and was currently facing several charges in both Vernon and Penticton including fraud and theft under $5,000. He was also at the centre of a massive drug bust in 2009 in Victoria that resulted in police finding him in possession of almost $650,000 in illegal drugs.

RCMP traffic services continue to investigate the accident and there is no word if charges will be laid against the driver of the pickup truck.
