Government employees and its Board of Governors at UBC-Okanagan have ratified an agreement under the Economic Stability Mandate.

The five year agreement covers approximately 500 non faculty staff, teaching assistants and markers. The agreement will run from April 1st, 2014 to March 31st, 2019 and will include a 5.5 per cent wage increase over the five year agreement.

Approximately 200,000 public-sector employees are now covered by tentative or ratified agreements under the Economic Stability Mandate. Overall, this represents about two-thirds of all unionized public-sector employees in B.C.
