Collision Between Cyclist and Vehicle on Pandosy Street

A collision between a truck and a cyclist on Pandosy Street temporarily shut down the road Thursday afternoon.

According to Kelowna RCMP on the scene a woman was riding her bicycle in the bike lane heading southbound on Pandosy when she collided with a truck hauling water. The truck as making a right hand turn and early reports indicate the woman struck the side of the truck. Police say the cyclist sustained injuries to her legs and was taken to hospital.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Pandosy Street and Cadder Avenue and a Collision Reconstructionist remains on the scene. Traffic in the area is expected to be affected for a significant amount of time while a detailed analysis of the crash is completed. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and find an alternate route.
