15 People in the Running for Peachland Civic Election

The final names have been declared candidates in the 2014 local general election and there are quite a few names on the ballot.

Five people are in the running for Mayor including current mayor Keith Fielding. The other candidates vying for mayor include: (in no particular order) Cindy Fortin, Ernie Hurd, Bruce Letendre and Eric Hall.

For councillors there are nine people running for the six available seats including several current councillors. The people running for councillor are as follows: (in no particular order)Vern Moberg, Pan Cunningham, Terry Condon, Keith Thom, Mario Vucinovic, Allan Holender, Eldon Kerbes and Peter Schierbeck.

Only one person submitted a nomination paper for the single School Board Tustee position, Moyra Baxter. As a result she has been acclaimed to the position.

The deadline to submit a nomination paper was at 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 10th. The general election will take place on Saturday, November 15th, 2014.
