RCMP Issue Warrant for Man Involved With Motel Robbery

A man who has an outstanding warrant in connection to several incidents that occurred in Midway, BC is wanted by the RCMP.

On around July 4th, 2014 Ravinder Singh Mettla walked away from a recovery house in Surrey and a warrant was issued for being unlawfully at large. Mettla left the home without his wallet or identification and is likely relying on others for food and shelter. He is not from the area but RCMP believe Mettla may still be in Surrey.

Mettla is wanted for the offences of forcible confinement, robbery, extortion and break and enter dating back to an incident in December, 2012 in Midway, which is located south of Penticton. Mettla and Charanjeet Singh Khosa were charged with robbing the Greenwood motel, tying up the clerk and robbing the establishment.

The robbery took place at approximately 1:37 a.m. on December 17th, 2012 and by 2:00 p.m. a gray Nissan Pathfinder was stopped by Grand Forks RCMP and the two Calgary, who matched the description of the suspects were arrested.
