Osoyoos RCMP Find Wanted Man Hiding in the Bushes

Osoyoos RCMP have captured a Nanaimo man who tried to escape from police by hiding in the bushes.

Around noon on Thursday RCMP attempted to arrest 20 year old Dillan Cote at a home on Gravenstein Drive in Osoyoos. According to RCMP Cpl Jason Bayda, Cote was wanted on several outstanding warrants including charges for possession of stolen property and obstruction. The charges stem from separate incidents in Penticton and Education.

When police arrived at the home they found Cote, but he fled from the RCMP shirtless and shoeless and a Police Service Dog was called in to track him down. Additional resources from the Oliver RCMP, Keremeos detachment and the Regional General Investigation Section were called in. Cote was found hiding in the bushes nearby and taken into custody.
