Along side Mayor Colin Basran, Kelowna has elected their new council members for the 2014 Civic term. Winning by a landslide, four re-elect council candidates will be back on the bench for the new term.

Re-elect councillor Luke Stack, with 16651 votes, was a Kelowna favourite in this year's civic election, garnering almost as many votes as Mayoral elect, Colin Basran (16888). Stack was followed closely by councillor re-elect Gail Given with 15691, Maxine DeHart with 15683, and Mohini Singh with 15561.

“I'm really thrilled to get a seat back on council again. I'm very excited to see Colin Basran secure the position of Mayor...I see [the results] as an overall vote of confidence in our last council,” said Councillor Luke Stack.

“We had a really good council, we worked well together. I'm so happy the five of us are back in,” said Councillor re-elect, Maxine DeHart.

Councillor Gail Given echoed the sentiments of DeHart and Stack and is excited to have the council “team” back in chambers.

New on council this year will be Brad Sieben with 12666, Tracy Gray with 11588, Ryan Donn with 9622, and Charlie Hodge with 9519.

All numbers are preliminary until made official on Wednesday, November 19th.
