A referendum was reviewed and the Regional District of North Okanagan saw two new members voted in on the director board during Saturday night's 2014 civic elections.

Bob Fleming, Mike Macnabb, and Hank Cameron were the three candidates immediately acclaimed for the district. Newly added to the team was Rick Fairbairn with 463 votes and Herman Halvorson with 327 votes.

Huguette Allen (199) and Jackie Pearase (227) were the only other two candidates in the running.

The referendum asked the Regional District of North Okanagan if they would like to adopt the Greater Vernon Water 2012 Master Water Plan. The bylaw authorizes the RDNO to borrow an amount, not to exceed $70 million, for the purpose of paying the costs to the plan. The bylaw was reject with 7,918 votes against and 3,999 votes in favour.
