83-Year-Old Found Alone and Fatally Injured in Downtown Kelowna

An 83-year-old woman died on Sunday after being found in an alley at 1 a.m. Sunday morning.

Kelowna RCMP received a report of an injured woman on Doyle Avenue early Sunday morning in the alley between the Kelowna Daily Courier and the McWilliams Centre. When they arrived, the Kelowna woman was alone and suffering from serious, extensive injuries. The woman was rushed to Kelowna General Hospital in critical condition, but she did not survive.

Kelowna RCMP are investigating and working with BC Coroners Service to find out the cause of the woman's death. Police are looking for anyone who might have information that could lead to the identity or identities of whoever is responsible for these fatal injuries.
