Getting school buses to their destination Wednesday morning is a bit of a problem in many Central Okanagan areas, especially in the South Okanagan.

School District 67 has cancelled all school buses for all schools due to road conditions. According to a release from the District the safety of students and staff is of concern.

“We will reevaluate later to see if we can provide service home at the end of the day for any who may make it in to school,” said the release.

The cancelled buses will affect over 7,000 students attending 19 schools within the Okanagan Skaha school district. This includes elementary, middle and high school locations in Penticton and Summerland.

School buses in School District 53 as well as 58 have also been cancelled. These buses service students in Oliver, Osoyoos, Princeton and Keremeos.
