Name Released Involving Fatal Accident on Trans Canada

B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died following a motor Vehicle incident near Revelstoke on Monday, November 24th.

Gary Michael Rivett from Ladysmith was only 53 years old when a fatal crash took his life on the Trans Canada Highway.

Rivett was the driver of an eastbound semi-trailer that was involved in a collision with a westbound semi-trailer unit on Highway 1 about 33 kilometres west of Revelstoke.

RCMP predict the accident took place at approximately 8:45 p.m. and Rivett was found deceased at the scene.

Investigation regarding his death is still on-going.
