Attack by Unknown Men in Downtown Kelowna

RCMP are looking for suspects after a 47-year-old Kelowna man was assaulted in the downtown area.

Police received a call at 1:25 a.m. Friday morning about an assault in progress on Leon Avenue near Ellis Street. Witnesses say that two unknown men got out of a smaller grey pickup truck and attacked the victim.

The man received serious, non-life-threatening injuries from the attack and went to hospital. He has been released since, but RCMP say that the man will need further medical care for his injuries.

The suspects were last seen fleeing in their smaller grey pickup truck. The truck is described as possibly a Toyota or a Nissan, and it is believed to have Alberta licence plates. RCMP describe the suspects as both six feet tall with large builds and short hair.
