A California man is lucky to be alive following a shocking head on collision with a tractor trailer.
Jesse Lopez was out for a ride on his motorcycle with friends capturing the footage on his helmet camera. The fast moving bike is riding along a windy road on April 1st and shows Lopez take a corner a bit too wide. Around the blind turn is a semi-truck, which Lopez hits head on.
The helmet camera captures the entire incident, including Lopez asking his friend to grab his GoPro camera, which he was concerned about in his state of shock. The accident occurred along the Glendora Ridge Road, near the town of Glendora, California.
In the video you can hear Lopez asking what happened and him complaining of pain, as he lay sprawled out on across the road. Lopez was lucky to survive the accident but suffered a broken femur, tibia, fibula, humerus at the elbow, and a broken ulna.
As for that friend that picked up the GoPro camera, Lopez says he asked him to do that in his state of shock, which can be heard around the 10:28 mark, and that he was there for him during and after the accident to lend support.
*the accident occurs at 2:42 and the friend picks up the camera at 11:05.
