Drone footage posted over the weekend paints a tranquil picture of the Okanagan region’s wildlife.

The video, posted by the user Mr. Dr. Phoenix on YouTube, starts by following a flock of wild turkeys around a meadow near Vernon.

The drone then finds an old grain silo and an abandoned old pickup truck.

The footage then shifts back to the wildlife, finding a group of doe, including a baby that is very interested in the drone.

Finally, the drone picks up on a lone coyote shifting through the tall grass and at one point it even stalks a doe before the potential prey runs off.

It’s not the rarest thing in the world to get up close to a deer, or see a coyote crossing the fairway ahead of you while you’re playing golf, but to see them do their own thing without humans around to distract them is quite the interesting watch.
