Put this one under the ‘fake news' category?

The Price Is Right sure knows how to sell their prizes well.

On an episode of the popular game show, a contestant had the chance to win a trip to Edmonton, Canada.

Sadly for Brenda from Palm Dale, California, it might not be what she expected when she lands in the Albertan capital.

That’s because the teaser video that the show put together for Edmonton is fairly misleading in so many ways.

“We’re going to send you to an amazing place Brenda,” says the show’s announcer, George Gray. “It’s a vacation to Canada!”

That leads into the video that opens with some beautiful shots of Banff, which is a solid four hour drive from Edmonton.

From there, the video only showcases the fancy Fairmont Hotel Macdonald and all it’s amenities, without showing a single bit of the actual city of Edmonton.

While the complimentary breakfast does sound fantastic, it’s interesting that they couldn’t find a single shot of the city to include in the promotional video.

Brenda goes on to win the game and the trip to Edmonton causing her to do the typical jumps and screams of a Price Is Right winner.

Not sure if she had the same reaction when she landed in Edmonton, but hopefully she went in the summer!
