UPDATE: 84-year-old, 'high risk' missing person returns after leaving Sicamous home

(UPDATE: Dec 1 @ 4 pm): Police in the Shuswap have located a missing 84-year-old man. 

The "high risk" individual reportedly returned home and is "safe and sound." 

First responders are currently assessing his overall condition, though early information suggests he is well. 

Police thanked residents and search and rescue for their help in finding the man. 

(Original Story: Dec. 1 @ 2:30 pm): Police in the Shuswap are on the lookout for a "high risk" missing person in the community.

According to Sicamous RCMP, 84-year-old Brendan George Rogers was last seen at 11 am this morning when he walked away from his home on Shuswap Avenue. Rogers suffers from a medical condition that makes him appear confused or lost. 

With the current cold temperatures in the Sicamous area, police are very concerned for Rogers' health and well-being. 

Local search and rescue have already been engaged to aid in the search for Rogers. He is described as a 5'5," 161-pound Caucasian man with balding white hair and blue eyes. 

Rogers was last seen wearing a navy blue coat and a pair of beige coloured pants.
