A moment captured on video at the BC Ferries terminal in Nanaimo over the weekend has gone viral.

A monster truck company, Straight Up Racing, found themselves in a long lineup over the May long weekend, and decided to lighten the spirits of their fellow passengers by showing off their “Megasaurus.”

The racing company shared a video of the free show on Instagram, which shows the mechanical dragon blowing fire in the busy line.

A video of the action was also shared to TikTok, and records the moment BC Ferries shut down the entertainment.

An employee can be heard over the intercom system saying, “May I have your attention please, the oversized vehicle with the dragon— can you please stop with the fire?”

The racing company said in their Instagram post that it was a two ferry wait at the terminal that day.

They added that after the announcement, a BC Ferries worker came up to them and said “That was awesome but my boss told me I had to tell you to stop, but I had to take pictures first."

“Hope you all enjoyed your wait,” said Straight Up Racing.
