People are actively trying to identify a woman who went on a racist, expletive-filled rant against multiple staff members at a Burnaby Shoppers Drug Mart on Monday.
Part of the confrontation was caught on camera and posted to Facebook by Allen Tseng, who said he just wants to “put this lady on blast for being extremely rude and racist.”
We don’t know for sure what leads to the woman being so angry as she checks out at the front of the store, but her reaction and behaviour is surely out of line.
The video picks up the action in the middle of the confrontation, with the woman telling the female employee to shut up and criticizing her for speaking Chinese in front of her.

Every time the employee tries to respond, the customer says “shut up, you are rude,” and asks her male coworker who she can complain to about the woman at the checkout.
When a third employee enters the picture, the customer turns her aggressive comments towards him.
“You want a manager to talk to me, you bring your manager here,” she yells at him, calling him an idiot. “Or go speak Chinese with your other staff and sh*t talk me somewhere else.”
Finally, her order has been put through, but that doesn’t stop her from hurling a few more comments towards the three staff members before finally one tells her to leave and threatens to call the police.
As the video ends, she appears to be leaving the store.
While the unfortunate incident is a sad example of racism in 2019, it is made even worse that the woman is doing it all in front of who appears to be her young son.
She has not yet been identified and there’s been no comment from any of the parties involved in the video.
