One man is believed to have committed eight armed bank robberies across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan in the past month and a half.

The second of these robberies was committed in Vernon on December 9th at Interior Savings Credit Union. These crimes have all occurred within 3-8 days of the last, jumping across the provinces. Of the eight robberies, four were in BC, three in Alberta, and one in Saskatchewan:

Police say that all eight robberies included a firearm that was either mentioned or produced. In all eight robberies, the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash, fleeing on foot. Neither employees nor customers at the banks at the time were physically injured.

“We've seen series in the past, but nothing to this extent and nothing that's covered multiple jurisdictions and multiple provinces,” said Cst. Kris Clark.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male between 25 to 35 years old. He has a slim build and is estimated to be 5'6” to 6' feet tall. This suspect is unshaven with a brown goatee/beard and has been seen wearing dark clothing with a black toque, gloves, and dark sunglasses.

Police from all three provinces are working to identify this man and bring them safely into custody. You should not approach this suspect, as police say that he is considered armed and dangerous. It is not known which province the suspect is in at the moment, and RCMP are hoping to get information from the public on his whereabouts.

If you have any information about any of the robberies or about the identity of the suspect, call the tip line at 1-844-887-6287.
