UPDATE: It appears that a tornado has touched ground in Calgary, Alberta. However, Environment Canada has since rescinded all tornado and thunderstorm alerts throughout the Province.

Another tornado alert has been issued for Alberta, this one for the City of Calgary.
Several funnels have been spotted within the city and the storm is said to be moving southeast at a very fast speed. Communities in the path of the twister include southwest Calgary, Cochrane, Airdrie, and Beiseker. Residents are being told to take immediate shelter in a basement or reinforced structure.

A former Kelowna resident, now living in Calgary, says the storm is heading directly towards where she lives and she can see a funnel forming outside her patio window.
"It's getting very windy and the clouds are moving in fast," said Kirsten Jamieson. "I can see the twister forming behind my building. It's getting really scary outside."

A severe thunderstorm is forming above the city and could produce strong winds, golf ball–sized hail, and tornadoes. On Tuesday the Alberta Emergency Alert issued another tornado alert for communities north of Calgary.
There is no word of any damage, and the twister has been spotted in the Bridlewood and Shawnessy areas.
